Diário RPD (“the app”) is provided by Cacto Tech. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app does
The app is a personal journal for cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) thought records. You can record situations, thoughts, emotions, cognitive distortions and behaviours, log mood and pills, set reminders and create reports and backups. It works without an account, and your records are kept on your device.
Not medical advice
The app is a self-help tool. It does not give medical, psychological or pharmaceutical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace a qualified health professional. Pill reminders and reports are only an aid: always follow your prescriber’s instructions. Nobody reads what you write and the app cannot respond to emergencies. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number or a crisis line now.
Your licence
You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. You may not copy, resell, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute it, except where the law allows. If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and it prevails if it conflicts with these terms: Apple standard EULA
Acceptable use
Do not use the app for unlawful purposes, interfere with how it works, or try to access parts of it, its services or other people’s data without permission.
Your records
Your records belong to you and are stored on your device. You are responsible for your device, your PIN, your recovery codes and your backups. If you lose both the PIN and the recovery codes of an encrypted diary, it cannot be recovered, by you or by us. Premium subscriptions
Diário RPD Premium removes ads and unlocks reports, longer periods and other premium features. It is sold as monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions; the name, length and price of each plan are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your App Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically for the same length and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If a plan offers a free trial, its length is shown before you buy, and any unused part of the trial ends when you buy a subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account settings; cancelling stops future renewals and Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid. Refunds follow the store’s own policies. People who bought the former one-time Premium purchase keep it and can get it back with Restore purchases.
Ads and other services
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and some features can be unlocked for free by watching a rewarded ad. Purchases are processed by the app stores. These services follow their own terms and policies, which we do not control.
Intellectual property
The app, its software, texts, illustrations and logos belong to Cacto Tech or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. What you write in your diary is yours.
Changes to the app
We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. Paid features you have an active subscription for will not be removed during the period you have already paid for without the remedies required by law or by the store.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or that data will never be lost; keep backups of what matters to you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Cacto Tech is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless the consumer laws of your place of residence require otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
